DWA – Neighbourhood meeting with SÜLZLE KLEIN on 30.11.2022 at the sewage treatment plant of the city of Hanau

The sewage treatment plants from the Main-Kinzig district are grouped in the DWA (*1) neighbourhoods 305 and 306 and met for an information event at the sewage treatment plant of the city of Hanau. The SÜLZLE KLEIN field staff Lars Völker and Markus Overbeck were also present. At the invitation of the organiser, they gave a presentation on machines for sludge treatment and conducted the subsequent question and answer session.

Michael Ruess, supervisor of the sewage treatment plant neighbourhoods, welcomed the 35 or so participants from the surrounding region to the historical machine house of the sewage treatment plant and gave a presentation on the results of the performance comparison between the sewage treatment plants in the MKK district with regard to expansion size, utilisation, energy demand and effluent values.

Thickening, dewatering and drying – requirements and solutions: Markus Overbeck showed in his presentation which machines and techniques to use and what results can be achieved with the respective machines. Detailed factual questions on installation and consumption were answered by Lars Völker after the lecture.

In the afternoon, there was an exchange of experience on operational requirements and obstacles in sewage treatment plant operation, as well as a discussion and a question and answer session with the responsible chairman and DWA chairman.

During the subsequent tour of the plant, the wastewater treatment foreman demonstrated his two SÜLZLE KLEIN BGT 1000 belt thickeners, which have been in continuous operation at the wastewater treatment plant since 2003. The sewage engineer was satisfied with their performance as well as with the service and spare parts supply by SÜLZLE KLEIN.
