As part of the expansion of the Müllekoven wastewater treatment plant, Abwasserbetrieb Troisdorf AöR placed an order with SÜLZLE KLEIN at the beginning of 2020 for the supply of two customized belt thickeners and a polymer preparation station. The aim was to upgrade the mechanical excess sludge thickening to increase the energy efficiency of the plant. By working in partnership with all parties involved in the project, SÜLZLE KLEIN was able to offer an innovative and equally efficient solution. A major advantage of the solidXdrain mobile belt thickener system was that the wastewater treatment plant was able to maintain operation “24/7” throughout the entire installation period. After smooth delivery in August 2020 and on-time commissioning one month later, nothing stood in the way of successful acceptance in October 2020. The throughput of the new plant per line/thickener is 5-25 m³/h and meets all the required performance data and corresponds to the latest state of the art.
